Key Differences
A Warehouse is a physical place with concrete floors, forklift trucks, pallet racks, and packing stations.
A Location is an architectural abstraction in your ecommerce platform. One physical warehouse could even be partitioned into two distinct software locations (e.g. Warehouse A - Retail Stock vs Warehouse A - B2B Stock).
Developer Takeaway
API Mapping Rule: Always map third-party WMS warehouse identifiers to platform location_id records in your integration config tables.
